How many blogs do you follow?
Uruguayan Rosario was my introduction to the romance book blogging world. From that pleasant beginning my list has grown to encompass not only romance and historical fiction, but beautiful blogs that chronicle history-related news and the interesting lives of people around the world, from brocante-loving Tongue-In-Cheek in France to guest house owner Maryam in Morocco. A few of them can be found on my About page.
The number of blogs I visit with reasonable regularity rounds up to about thirty. This smaller number allows me the pleasure of calm and thoughtful browsing and commenting.
Teaser Tuesdays and now the Book Blogger Hop afford ways to be more eclectic and be introduced to lovely discoveries. Ways to pare down include opting out from blogs with owners who decline to respond to any comments whatsoever or whose commenting restriction impose the necessity for an OpenID account. I am also selective about review blogs whose owners receive books for free; opinions cloaked in blandness make me turn elsewhere since it is not the rating but a thoughtfully argued point of view that stimulates my interest. Selectivity certainly helps in trying to balance my book budget. Finding so many wonderful book recommendations has built my TBR stack to never-before-seen proportions!
